We will end this Instagram challenge in Bangkok, with my favorite image of the bunch. This photo was made at the Jim Thompson house, which has quite a beautiful garden. The patterns this particular plant made were quite photogenic. Making images like this is one of my favorite subjects. Hope you all have enjoyed the series. Back to color tomorrow.

Today we return to the Swarovski Crystal Museum in Wattens for Day 6 of this 7 day Instagram challenge. I like the lit up bulbs provide a path for the eye to travel on in the image. Make sure you come back for tomorrow's image. It's pretty cool.
Let me know if you've been enjoying the images here in this 7 day black and white challenge in the comments below. Thanks.
Day 5 of the 7 day black and white, no people, no explanation challenge takes us back to Bangkok, and this photo of a flame which people can light their spiritual candles and offer prayer. I think this is one of those images that can help the photographer tell a story about what, where and why they're shooting the images they are. People were lined up to light their candles. It's beautiful. It tells a story.
When I went to the MLB All-Star Game (and festivities) in 2016, it was Heaven for a baseball fan. Three days of nothing but my most beloved sport. The game was in held in San Diego's Petco Park. On the concourse, they have highly reflective aluminum tables to eat at. When I saw one of the staff holding some new baseballs to throw into the crowd, I asked her if I could first photograph one of them on the table. She didn't understand why I wanted to do this, but she gave me one anyway. I got four frames before she asked for it back. Mission accomplished.
I was challenged on Instagram (@focustheframe) for a seven day, seven black and white look at my life. No people allowed! So we're going to go on a mini-run of black and whites. Yesterday's photo was Day 1, as it was already posted when I got the challenge. So this will be Day 2.
I previously posted a photo from the Swarovski Crystal museum in Wattens, Austria on Oct 24. This is another of their many fantastic light exhibits. In black and white of course. See you tomorrow for Day 3.
